Diatomaceous earth is a kind of siliceous rock. It is a biogenic siliceous sedimentary rock composed mainly of the remains of ancient diatoms. The chemical composition of diatomaceous earth is mainly SiO2, containing a small amount of Al2O3, Fe2O3, CaO, MgO and organic matter. Physical characteristics of diatomite: density :1.9-2.3g /cm3, pile density: 0.34-0.65g /cm3, specific surface area: 40-65 m 3 /g, pore volume: 0.45-0.98 cm³/g, water absorption is 2-4 times of its own volume, melting point 1650℃ - 1750℃. Beneficiation and purification methods of diatomaceous earth: Scrubing and acid soaking method. Color: white and yellow Form of diatomite: powder and granule. The specifications of diatomaceous earth are 150mesh,325mesh,800mesh and 1250mesh. Grades of diatomaceous earth and their uses: 1.Industrial grade:At this grade,the diatomaceous earth is calcined.It is white color. And it is usually used as filter aid in the industrial,chemical and water filtration. 2.Food grade: It is not calcined.Its main usage is in thepesticide industry: wettable powder, dry land herbicide, paddy field herbicide and various biological pesticides. It is gently and environmental-friendly. 3.It is also used as thermal insulation material. It is made into diatomaceous earth bricks,used in the wall of buildings. Package of diatomaceous earth: 1 ton/big bag,with or without pallet. Customization accepted. Size of the diatomaceous earth brick: standard size: 230*114*62mm.Packing: carton+pallet. Customization accepted.
